GIRLS FLAG PROGRAM
THE FUTURE OF GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL IS LOOKING BRIGHT!
Girls Flag Football is a growing sport that will not only be in the Olympics this summer but currently has a strong high school club program in Northeast Ohio with 9 of our Chagrin Valley Conference High schools having teams and Championship games being played at Browns Stadium.
Our vision is to create a youth girls’ program that exposes kids to this fun and dynamic game and sets them up for success for future opportunities. It is very likely Girls Flag will be an official spring OHSAA sanctioned sport!
Our first step is offering a 1-day camp this year in 2024 and we are in talks with the Chagrin Valley Conference and Cleveland Browns to starts a spring youth girls flag league next year!
1st Annual Girls Flag Football Camp
We are partnering with Brecksville Youth Football this summer to introduce our girls to the sport of flag football with 1-day camp that will balance skill development and plenty of engaging game play.
CAMP DETAILS:
July 19th 6pm-9m at Independence Stadium
All girls will get a camp shirt
We will have 2 age groups; 1st - 3rd graders and 4th - 6th graders 2024/2025 school year
We will have teams in each group of 6-8 girls or so
Agility Contest and awards
60 minutes of skill stations
30 minutes of team practice
90 minutes of game play (3 30-minute games)
